1. Overview

This Media Consent & Release ("Policy") describes how Houston's Own Lawn App, LLC ("HOLA," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and manages photos, videos, timestamps, and other media captured in connection with lawn care services arranged through the HOLA platform.

This Policy supplements our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms of Service.

2. Operational Use of Service Media

To support service quality, your contractor may capture before-and-after photos and videos of your property during service delivery. HOLA and your contractor may use these service-related media and records for the following operational purposes:

Service confirmation — Documenting that the requested work was performed.
Proof of completion — Verifying the scope and quality of work completed.
Customer support — Investigating and resolving service-related inquiries.
Fraud prevention — Detecting and preventing fraudulent activity.
Dispute resolution — Reviewing and resolving disputes between customers and contractors.

This operational use is a necessary part of providing the HOLA platform and does not require separate consent beyond your acceptance of the Terms of Service.

3. Marketing and Promotional Use

By using the HOLA platform and accepting the Terms of Service, you grant HOLA a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use photos, videos, reviews, and other content associated with your service for marketing, advertising, promotional, educational, and portfolio purposes, as described in Section 11 of the Terms of Service.

4. Scope of Use

Marketing and promotional use may include display on:

HOLA's website and mobile applications
Social media accounts operated by HOLA
Email communications and newsletters
Online and offline advertising materials
Presentations, case studies, and portfolio materials

5. Editing and Display

HOLA may crop, edit, resize, or otherwise format approved content for display purposes. Where feasible, HOLA will attempt to avoid displaying unnecessary identifying details such as faces, license plates, or exact house numbers.

6. Withdrawal of Marketing Consent

You may withdraw consent for future marketing use of your content at any time by contacting HOLA at legal@gethola.com or through the app's support features.

Upon receiving your withdrawal request, HOLA will cease using your content in new marketing materials. However, withdrawal does not require HOLA to recall or remove materials already produced or distributed before the withdrawal was processed.

Withdrawal of marketing consent does not affect HOLA's right to use service-related media for operational purposes described in Section 2 of this Policy.

7. No Compensation

You will not receive compensation for the use of your content in marketing materials unless HOLA separately agrees in writing.

8. No Condition of Service

Marketing use of your content is governed by the Terms of Service. Operational use of service media (Section 2) is a necessary part of platform functionality.
